Well, it has been quite some time since my last post (like October 2012). Life got hectic and month by month went by. At some point I just decided I didn't have time. I'm not sure what really makes me think I'm going to have time now since I'm about to have two baby boys 17 months apart?? I just know there are going to be some funny moments worth documenting and thought I'd give it a shot one more time.
Most of you that read this know we are back in Birmingham now. My last blog post was about Jason moving the last weekend of 9/2012 to start his new job. Fall 2012 was a bit of blur....I was in MS October and November with a baby by myself wrapping up things with our house and life there. Thankfully he came home on the weekends, my parents visited a lot or either I was in Birmingham or at my parents house. We closed on our house in Birmingham end of November and Patton, the dogs, and I made the "official" move to Birmingham....it was so awesome to back together as a family of 3. Those were two rough months for us (hence my lack of blogging) Not to mention we went to some AWFUL Auburn games that fall that weren't too blog worthy either -ha!
December was spent getting settled in our new house, re-connecting with our old Birmingham/college friends (since we both lived here prior), Christmas parties, visiting family, moving the remaining items out of our MS house, selling our MS house and all the other things involving the Holiday season. It was a month where we never slowed down. Patton was then 8 months old and starting to become mobile (as in crawling) as well.
Christmas was over and I finally thought I was getting caught up on things. You know just when you think you have everything under control :) Our house in MS was under contract and on its way to closing (which it did...so thankful!!), I pretty much had our Bham house the way I wanted it, Patton and I had a great schedule going, decided on a church to join and so forth. Now that things were calming down I was ready to get back into tennis (something I gave up when we moved to MS), ready to start running again and basically get back into shape.....well just before New Years 2013 we find out WE'RE PREGNANT with baby #2. But wait Patton's just about to be 9 months old- ha?? A little shocked, but so BLESSED!! So then comes the fatigue and a lot of morning sickness- yuck!!
I could write more and more about why I neglected our family blog, but you get the picture in the last few paragraphs. Although it has been 8 months now since we've been in Birmingham, sometimes it seems like only a few and some days it feels I never left here in Feb. 2007. We love being back here and everything Birmingham has to offer. It has also been great to catch back up with friends we haven't spent much time with in the past 5 years. Jason is very happy in his career and I'm loving staying at home with our sweet Patton and soon to be baby Parker. I'm thankful to have my parents an hour away to help out when I need them. They have been a huge help to me and I will forever be grateful for that.
